Dr. Alexander Weiss was born in Philadelphia, PA, the third son of Harry and Hilda Weiss. He passed in Evanston, IL on February 1, 2023 at age 72. He was the Director of the Center for Public Safety at Northwestern University. When he retired, he began consulting with police departments and eventually started Alexander Weiss Consulting, LLC which specialized in staffing studies. He is survived by his second mother, Sandy Weiss; his spouse Susan, daughter Hillary; three brothers Edmond, Mark and Steven; three sisters Kit, Barbara and Debbie and their spouses and children. And many friends. He will be missed. A Celebration of Life in his honor will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2023, 1pm at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd., (at Niles Center Road) Skokie, IL.
